The turbochargers begin with a complete disassembly and each component is thoroughly cleaned and inspected. Visual checks are performed for any microscopic damage to the turbine wheels, rotating assembly, compressor, and housing. All bearing surfaces are precision machined before assembly. The wheels and rotating assemblies are then balanced to OEM specifications before being installed. Critical wear parts and components such as seals, thrust plates, bearings, and fasteners are all replaced. A 100% end-of-line testing is performed through the full RPM range along with a NVH analysis to ensure the highest quality turbochargers. In addition, hydraulic and pneumatic leak testing is done as well as hot gas stand and burst test validations.
